Dominique Prasad
Professional Dancer, Choreographer and Dance Teacher
Dominique’s drive and passion for dancing/performing is seen through her versatility, stage presence and genuine love for creating. Growing up she trained at Constant Groove Dance Studio and trained by teachers such as Danielle Cook, Zoey Black, Natasha Marconi, Jessica Smithson and Daryl Morante, just to name a few. She has been dancing for over fourteen years.
After completing her Certificate IV in Dance at Brent Street in 2016 she continued broadening her training as a dancer and started experimenting more with her choreographic abilities.
She undertook a three month course with Tiana Canterbury training in various hip hop styles but mainly dance hall. In 2017 she landed her first job with Immaculate Productions and has been working as a dancer/entertainer for them ever since. Some gigs such as weddings and other corporate events for companies. Through 2017 and 2018 she collaborated with friends and created some videos to upload to social media as well as her own video that she choreographed and styled.
In 2018, she also was fortunate to be cast in Marko Panzic's and Katie's Sanchez's course, The Dream Show/Business 2018. This has been the most important and influential training she has ever had and has definitely helped her mould herself into the type of artist/performer she wants to be. Through the course she was fortunate to be trained by international dancer/choreographer Lee Daniel and Sarah Burns who toured with Beyoncé for years as one of her dancers.
Dominique thoroughly enjoys all styles of dance. Each style allows her to experiment with movement and each genre allows her to convey different parts of her bubbly and happy personality. Dominique is a versatile dancer and knows how to add her own flare to various styles. Her strengths lie in Jazz, Commercial and Hip Hop but she is also trained in other styles such as Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical Latin Fusion and Dance Hall.
